Book Talk Question # 3
All books have a main problem in the story. What is the problem your main character is facing? Write a diary entry from the perspective of the main character. Include a description of the problem, how you are feeling about it and a possible solution to the problem. Really try to use what you know about the character and what would make sense in the story to create a solution.

ReplyDeleteWell, I just have found out that there are fish in the lake, all thanks to the kingfisher. But the only problem is, I don't have a fishing rod, or string, or anything to catch a fish... I feel kind of sad, that I might not be able to catch one. Oh how I would do anything for a fresh, cooked fish... My mouth is watering just thinking about it... Maybe, I can try to find thin bark and use that as string? Or, maybe if I had some bait, yes, that's what I need, bait. But, where can I get some? Maybe, they like turtle eggs...
Brian, is that you? You've been lost forever! How did you get internet access in the wild?! I well send help soon! -Pilot

ReplyDeleteToday I found a cave, when I went in to explore it I stepped on something with thorns sticking out. The thorns shot out and spearing in my lag. Little light came in from outside the cave and I saw that it was a porcupine and I threw my hatchet straight at it. I missed, but when I missed the porcupine I hit the side of a rock and sparks came out. Then I remembered something from science class. How to start a fire, you need fuel and oxygen. So I got a black rock from the cave and some dry grass and wood. Then swung my hatchet across the rock a couple time then I blew on the sparks with a gentle breath. I kept on blowing until I saw fire! That night I couldn’t leave it, like it was my best friend.

ReplyDeleteToday i went looking for better berries instead of those gut berries. Im trying to stay in site of the lake so i could find my shelter again, and then on my glimse of my eye i saw some type of berries it was rasberrys i ate untill i was full then i looked over IT WAS A BEAR. i stayed still it looked at me i was fritend and it moved to the left out of sight, i didnt move i was still in shock and then when i new it was gone i grabed berries and went back......
